biswanath college was established at Biswanath chariali , under the then Tezpur subdivision.Established in 7th September 1960, by a group of visionaries, Biswanath College today is the 3rd Largest College in Sonitpur District. The college progress its own NCTE specified building over 3.5 acres of land.The college received its affiliation from Gauhati University in 1993
